Weld Powder is a traditional natural dye made from finely ground weld plant material (Reseda luteola), one of the classic sources of bright, clear yellow. It’s ideal for makers who prefer the traditional dye-bath workflow and want flexible shade building across different natural fibers.

Botanical name:  Reseda luteola (L.)

Color range: bright lemon yellow to warm golden yellow; with iron, chartreuse/olive shifts.

Wool & silk with alum mordant

Cotton & linen (tannin + alum recommended for strongest yellows)

Greens when overdyed with indigo (fresh lime-to-leaf greens)
