Undyed Cotton Socks

Undyed cotton socks made for natural dyeing and dye testing. They are a wearable test piece: dye them to see dye penetration, color depth, durability and real-life wear performance on a finished garment.

The socks are supplied completely raw and untreated, with no chemical dyes, optical brighteners or finishing agents. This gives accurate, consistent dye results without interference from previous processing. The natural cotton structure absorbs dyes effectively while staying comfortable to wear.

A small amount of elastane is used only in the heel area to improve fit and durability. This limited synthetic content does not significantly affect the dyeing performance of the cotton body.

Dye them with

Prepare the cotton with white oak gall powder, then try madder root for reds, natural indigo for blues or black walnut hull powder for browns.
